Visual identity for "Cybersteffie", a creative technologist and talent based in Tokyo.
I was tasked with creating a visual identity, broadcast graphics and social media templates for Cybersteffie. The goal of the project was, to create a unified and professional look in a cyber style.
The design I created is futuristic and has a digital feel. I chose neon sign style typography and used angled shapes that can be found in the cyberpunk genre. A recurring theme is the slanted edge and cursive fonts. It’s a reference to the eccentric and forward moving personality of the client.
Leveraging technology to create a more engaging experience.
Streamers use alert systems, to show/reward when a person made a contribution to the stream. There’s a lot of unused potential in these systems, so I suggested to make it more engaging.
I created tiered alerts with different icons/colors to clearly communicate what’s happening. Then I added a second layer, I call it alert celebration. This layer gets triggered, when someone makes a bigger contribution. It will play an animation behind the alert. It grows depending on how much someone supported the stream. Different types of alerts will also play different types of celebrations.
The whole system, is not only more interesting, but also differentiates the stream from others.
Social media templates
Social media should always be content first, but that doesn’t mean, that a nice presentation should be overlooked. Templates create brand recognition in an ocean of sameness.
